Idling
for more than 30 seconds or so wastes fuel and wears the engine more than restarting it.

wiper motor.

a lot of friction. Heat from this friction causes componets such as brakes to wear out faster than normal.
Try backing off the gas pedal early and time the traffic lights, then ease the brakes on. This will apply to other
driving situations as well.
